Out Of Season reissued

Out Of Season, the highly-acclaimed album by Beth Gibbons and former Talk Talk bassist Paul Webb, is set to be reissued on vinyl on 11 October. Originally released in October 2002, and out of print on LP for many years, the album has been remastered at Abbey Road and pressed on heavyweight vinyl.

Out Of Season is described as an otherworldly mix of folk and jazz styles and has been inspired by artists including Billie Holiday, Nick Drake, Burt Bacharach and Dusty Springfield. The album features contributions from Gibbons’ fellow Portishead bandmates Adrian Utley and Clive Deamer alongside Talk Talk’s Lee Harris.

The album proved to be a critical and commercial success, peaking inside the UK top 30 and attracting positive reviews. “Somewhere between folk and torch singing, Gibbons finds a series of voices, as if each song is a different character,” says The Guardian. “Often incredibly sparse, sometimes lush… Out Of Season is gorgeously uneasy listening.”
